It's confusing to hear king crabs in the Philippines. King crabs I know is from Alaska, very
expensive about $12 a pound. Legs are about the size of a man's arm, lately much smaller.
A few years back my wife and I tagged along with a friend an Aquaculture graduate from FIT
(Florida Inst. of Technology)to Tiamen University in formerly Amoy, China. I just heard from them (professors) A single Alimango, caged for 3 months fed well, will lay 3 million eggs. The
mother crab was removed immediately as she will devour her own eggs. The eggs are kept
in flowing water at 29 deg C, oxygenated, at salinity of also 29 PPT, will hatch in 3 days. The
larvae are almost microscopic and are voracious eaters of zooplanktons and rotifers. After 5
moults the babies will look like tiny crabs, about the size of mungo. The yield is "ONLY" about
5-10% From 3M

maybe your crab seeds were not real king crabs but the scylla olivacea or pulahan specie. It is also a mudcrab or alimango but it does not grow big. If it is pulahan, don't bother waiting for it to get bigger because it won't. In which case, you should get crab seeds from known suppliers of pure king crabs. Samar and Catanduanes are good sources because their crab seeds are almost purely king crabs.

We also have TX, SS, Medium and Big and we now ship anywhere: in Luzon (by land or air) and in VisMin (by air). We can supply any volume of crab seeds. For small volume, transactions are by email, phone and wire transfer. For large volumes, we can send a representative to bring samples and discuss details. If interested, contact us at 09178688174 or at attyyamicpa@yahoo.com. COD buyers only please. Thank you.
