We are a young company that is engaged is renewable energy systems, PV (solar), wind energy, mini-hydro, etc. Although we cannot compete with Chinese suppliers at the present time, we are sure that in the near future, we can devise a plan to reduce our prices to gain a market share in the Philippines. Incidentally, our company only sells Japanese made products, and in Japan, when you install your PV solar panels in your roof, then the excess output is sold back to the power companies if your house or building is grid connected, but you can sell the power at a rate more than you buy them. That is the incentive that the Japanese government is giving to its people, knowing that the return on investments on this products will take years. So our company is eager to receive any inquiry regarding this subject.

@RODOLFO C TORRENTE, i think you can inquire from the list of suppliers and make an arrangement with them. i'm sure, with convincing presentation, you can get a positive result. you can find some suppliers here:

Leo hope you can provide us names of solar and wind energy companies who are willing to put up a solar and wind energy source under a BOT (Build Operate Transfer)scheme. This will be affordable for small entrepreneurs ( I operate a six room pension house(HARJENS PLACE) at Tiwi, Albay Philippines.)

Definitely power from wind and sun will be able to help us not only during brownouts but also even on non brownout days should power from solar and wind energy be affordable.

can i use SHS to light plants in my lanai? i only want sufficiuent energy for my waterfall and plants because the orientation of my lanai is at the NW and basically only seconds of light shines on the plants everyday. for years now i can't grow any kind of plant ever. and now sun is more blocked by a wall due to extension built by the neighbor on that side. please let me be informed asap. thanks.

@Cis, the initial cost will discourage people talaga, but in the long run, its far more cost effective and eco-friendly. i'm also planing to install one, kahit man lang sa mga small appliances and lights. check the suppliers link, maraming options dun about your power requirement.

By the way Sir Leo, thanks for this site now I'm near to achieve putting up a business. Hopefully by October operational na kami.

I'm aiming for an ecofriendly business that's why gusto ko sana our business runs or at least a percentage coming from solar energy.

This article is very interesting sana next President suportahan mga ganitong project that would helf preserve our environment.

@rlf, i think it doesn't take a genius to successfully implement this system, because now, everything can be bought by component, all you have to do is plug and play. though i admit that the initial cost can be daunting at first but if you have a long term plan, i guess it's worth doing.
