Jathropa Farming and Business Guide

Jatropha, locally known as tuba-tuba is one of the most promising sources of bio-fuel today. About 30 percent of the tuba-tuba nut is composed of oil. This oil can be easily processed into fuel that can replace or mixed with petroleum based diesel to save on imported oil and most importantly increase local employment and help the economy to grow.

The Tuba-tuba has been planted in the Philippines for quite some time but it was used mainly as fencing since it animals do not eat the leaves – even the insatiable goat would not eat the leaves. The ever increasing price of petroleum prices has triggered interest onĀ  Jatropha.

@larry, sa pagkaka alam ko, ang PNOC ay bumibili ng jathropa seeds. check mo yung “Related Posts” dito at basahin mo lahat ng comments, marami nag iwan ng contact numbers for buyers.

      • Jumar says:

bumibili ang PNOC for planting material seeds only We dont know after planting but they should have a refinery on biodiesel to continue buying of our seeds. planting material cost much than to convert diesel seeds.
anyway we have a buyer now with refinery and they will assist you on the plantation maintenance for them to assure your seeds will yields high oil content.

  7. meron na bang company na bumibili ng seeds nito d2 sa quezon province.may mga seedling ako d2. d ko pa naitatanim kase d ko sure kung may bumibili nito.

Pag nagtamin ka na ngayon you start harvesting on or even before the 14th month.

      Magtanim na.

  8. @grace.. I think BioEnergy Farm Development Corp. can help you on this, since 1 year now they had a massive jatropha plantation in various locations enough to supply your required amount. I am also shareholder of this cooperative. You may contact Adriel Mirto (CEO) mobile no. 0915.484.6622.

  9. grace says:

Is there Jatrophine oil supplier that can supply 10,000 tons every month?
