Pagtatanim

I have little knowledge in agriculture, but last April I planted 4 bags of yellow corn ( they call it sound like ar-ar) a bag cost around 3000 PHP. This variety seed is product from Thailand. There some bottles of perticides/herbicides together with this seed when you purchase. The soil where it was planted did not undergo any plowing, but instead the seed is planted directly on a hole, now the harvest after almost 3 months for 4 bags of seed yields 8000 kilo.
Can you recommend and send brochures of other varieties, method of planting corn ( used for feeds), equipment to turn into mechanized farming method, mechanized harvesting and removal of corn from the cob and other necessary requirements of planting yellow corn.

I have about 11 hectares of land (presently planted with sugarcane) to turn into cornfield.

Please help me to source good varities of seeds, planting method, harvesting, etc. using modern techniques and equipment.

I am aware that the seed supplier is not a gmo proponent. Congratulations on your choice.

Is there no other way to get rid of corn plant diseases aside from captan and the like? These are unhealthy for humans and would certainly be absorbed by the plant and passed on to consumers, let alone be inhaled by the farmers. How about organic solutions? Perhaps a bit of more research
might benefit the farmer and the consumers.

    Thanks.

    Melly
