Thai massage is the traditional form of massage called “nuat phaen boran.” It began in India and incorporates forms of yoga and stretching movements today. It is believed that Thai massage was brought to Thailand about 2500 years ago by Dr. Shivago (Javika Kumar Baccha), a contemporary of Buddha. Thai massage begins with the patient lying flat on a mat or firm mattress. The massage-giver applies rhythmic pressure to the patient’s body using their hands and forearms. As the massage progresses, the giver may use their legs and feet to massage and stretch the patient.

I am quite new to thai massage, just discovered recently and to be honest, didn’t think I’d like it so much, tried it because my girlfriend told me that it’d be good for my back aches.

On my recent holidays, I went to Koh Samui, Thailand, to Kamalaya spa resort, and had a few thai massages there, almost every day!! The thai massagethere was amazing, my back aches are much less and feel much lighter and supple. I recommend to try it.

I will have one at least once a week now. It is addictive!!

Thank you for all the info, it is inspiring
