Leo, i did some volunteering in tanzania and tried some jackfruit on a spice tour. i took two seeds home (england) and planted them in pots in the airing cupboard. they've both germented within about two weeks and the shoots are about an inch tall. will they survive in the climate here do you think and how can i help aid their survival?

Many thanks

to irene.. though im not an expert of jackfruits but as I observe in our school where a jackfruit tree stood, it just seasonally bare fruits and fall down, some may be over ripe and need to be picked.. jackfruit are very big sometimes and some of the trunks or branch may not be able to handle such weight, maybe that's one of the basic reasons.. ^_^

yes the sap was converted to glue, this was just our present experiment as a research and thesis...
if your to eager to convert a sap into a glue you have to do it quickly as possible or else it would dry up and solidify...
as for our experiment we place a piece of a fruit into a jar "full of sap" choose a young jackfruit to gain more sap.. we test it in different kinds of materials like wood, paper and etc. it actually did stick... ^_^ so we called it as an alternative glue
