@Bernadette:Your computations are very enticing. Enlighten me on this, 5 articles per day and each has 500 minimum words at Php50.00 per article would give us brain drain and headache? How about if one of the articles has grammatical errors, meaning only 4 out of 5 passed the acid test, would the rest of the work be still considered for payment or better luck next time?
You are correct that writing an article would only take 15 to 30 minutes, but of course you will still have to read an article, digest it and draft and finally think what you have to write and that is the draining and time consuming part.
Now on daily payments, isn’t it very costly to do this? Who shoulders the charges?

I think oDesk is a great place for serious freelancers. If you take this full time, this might be the place for you. They are claiming its free and enjoy variety of work available. I will try this some other time.

@sighree, don’t accept jobs if they require you to pay in the first place. they should be the one paying you and not the other way around.
