Warning on Franchising Scams

A group of homegrown franchisers warned the public about scams as franchising continually and increasingly becomes popular among budding entrepreneurs and even old hands.
Ricardo Cuna, president of the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc. (AFFI), said more and more unscrupulous individuals were taking advantage of the trend, especially to victimize first-time business owners who wanted to try a venture with very minimal birth pains. Read Full Entry

hello. i just wanted to know if you have a list of those franchising which are scam. can you post it here so we could have an idea if what are the scam ones.

Who can we complain to for FRANCHISE SCAMS? Does AFFI have a complaint center since the experience is with one of your members?
We need intervention and hope there will be more professionalism among the ranks of AFFI.

Hi Caren, You can file a complaint to AFFI or PFA if they are a member of either of these two associations. Or you can also send inquiries to DTI.
