Cacao seeds are borne in pods that hang from the branches of the cacao tree. When the red pods become deep red or hen yellow-orange and green pods become yellow, they are ready for harvest. sir mag tanong po sana ako about cacao seeds kung san po nakakabili nito, at magkano po per kilo.pls. po nid ko po reply ninyo thanks po.
Saan pwd makabili ng good seeds ng cacao ready to plant. im in Butuan city
Hi, I would like to know if Rosario Batanggas a good place to plant cacao and what type of seed thanks.

HellO!
My wife and I grow cacao we have 1200 cacao trees. Are there green rip cacao pods that you can harvest? I say there are she there isn’t. Makes no diffrence but I’d really like to know. We have some that never change color they stay green no matter how long I leave them on the tree.
Aloha from the Big Island, Dave and Camille.
The cacao trees in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and in Ghana that I saw had cacao pods that turn yellow or golden, but they don’t stay green.
I still have to see cacao pods that are evergreen.
You can harvest the green pods but the seeds inside are not ripe.
it is mentioned in your post that you have 1200 trees of cacao . what is the planting distance ?
Just recently my wife and i started planting cacao. we have planted around 800 seedlings.ang planting distance namin is about 5 steps or approximately 5 yards. We based our planting distance from nearby cacao plantations where there are high yield of cacao pods. i am not sure if it is scientific but so far the young trees are fast growing. we only have 4 casualties mainly due to physical stress ( the seedlings were brought to the farm in motorcycles. last week end, we put some fertilizers in small amount in the soil about 6 inches from the base. This is rather experimental and purely based on some advices from cacao farmers. I am not even sure if we are doing the correct way.
Dear maan and sir, I have a small area 6thowsand sq meter of cacao farm in davao balagunan sto tomas del norte. can u help me? do i need to make deep canal?and saan kami makapag supply? my cacao farm is now more than 3 years old planted year 2008. last year 2010 our ist crop 100 kilos kc dipa lahat nag bunga and this month marami cyang bunga and flower kaya lang nalalaglag at nabubulok ang bunga na maliit pa maybe bcoz of the rain. saan kaya kami maghanap ng good buyer para sa next harvest namin? my mother the one who take care my farm bcoz i live here in manila. and planning to additional plant again more cacao …
