Are you planning to venture into drugstore business? I found some tips and guides on forums that might help you decide. Read on.

1. Business name at iba pang dokumento - sa DTI po yan. Requirements:

  • business name
  • 2pcs 2×2 colored pics
  • TIN and fee.

2. Mayor’s permit - requirements:

  • application form,
  • DTI business name certificate,
  • location,
  • pictures,
  • fee - medyo malaki depende sa municipality, and fire protection

3. TIN, sa BIR po yan - requirements:

  • fee
  • form 1901
  • Mayor’s permit

  • R1 form
  • DTI business permit
  • Mayor’s permit

5. DOLE - requirements:

  • Rule 1020 form
  • layout
  • vicinity map

6. BFAD - requirements:

  • Mayor’s notarized petition form
  • list of products
Free lang yan kapag member ka ng Drugstore Association of the Philippines) o kahit ano na i-require nila sa inyo
  • prescription book (BFAD)
  • generic white label
  • dry seal o logo ninyo
  • Pharmacist Registration Certificate
  • Certificate of business registration with BTNRCP
  • contract of lease
  • location plan at floor plan with dimension

7. Others:

  • Sales Clerk minimum of 2 (may experience at isang trainee).
Basta po important factor and location, location, location!

Jeff, who posted the above tips in one of the forums, is also a medical distributor of branded and generic drugs from local and international manufacturers like Unilab, Lloyd, etc. You can e-mail him at sweetangel_ni_jeff@yahoo.com for your inquiries.

There are three main and important components of a drugstore:

    1.People (RPh, owner, PA etc)
    2.Location
    3.Products

And in the initial phase of creating a viable and productive drug retailing business, the foundation lies herein.
