OWWA provides the OFWs or their Beneficiaries, the opportunity to acquire vocational, technical or specialized skills through this program. It provides free tuition fee and monthly stipend for the trainees.

Applicant may apply who are under any of the following categories:

  • Overseas Filipino Worker
  • Spouse of OFW
  • Parent or Child of OFW
  • Brother or Sister of Unmarried OFW
  • Nephew / Niece of Married OFW without children

The Applicant must:

  • At least have elementary background to qualify for fashion courses (like Dressmaking, Cosmetology, etc.).
  • At least be a high school graduate to qualify for technical courses (like RAC, Automotive, Electrical Technology, etc.).
  • Have finished at least high school graduate or with work experience to qualify in Computer-Related Courses, and other courses not classified under 1 and 2.

Requirements:

  • Two 1″ x 1″ I.D. pictures
  • Report Card or High School / College Diploma or Transcript of Records
  • OFW’s Passport or Seaman’s Book page 1 and 2
  • Travel Exit Pass (TEP) or LAC-Stamp Certification for those who work abroad before 1990, or COC /Info Sheet / OEC, BMAC Form, OWWA I.D. or MRD Record (OWWA - Room 101, Ground Floor)

Requirements for beneficiaries:

  • Married Certificate if applicant is the OFW’s Spouse
  • Birth Certificate / Affidavit of Birth with LCR No., if applicant is the son / daughter / Parent of OFW. (Attached Baptismal Certificate if Birth Certificate has no LCR Number.)
  • Birth Certificate / Affidavit of Birth of both OFW and applicant is the brother / sister of OFW and Barangay Certification of OFW’s civil status.

    Hi, my dad was an OFW from 1986 to 1999 in Saudi Arabia. Am I still qualified for that training? How many training course are beneficiaries allowed to have?

    Can all the son of an OFW take the training?
