hey, cool down. what happened? u have a good business plan but no need to start it with a hot head. are u into it now?

well for starters, if in case you have not been to the US, this is what i have seen in the laundry shops there.

people come in freely. there is an area where customers can buy soaps using dispenser machines and another machine to change our bills into coins. problem here is that people bring in everything they want to wash including their carpets, shoes, rags, oh gosh. there must be a separate machine to handle that because the next user will surely share the bacteria from there.

as you know, we operate the machines by ourselves, drop 2 quarter dollars per wash or per drying, whatever. you can hire watchers or attendants to clean up. some customers are really messy.

some shops are small, they receive the clothes over the counter. count them in front of the customer. they have a table of price, just like what you can see in the hotels. handkerchief, underwears, pants, every piece has a price. there is another column for pressing. wash only, press only , wash & press…. name it. you can design your own brochure.
important thing is, every transaction must be filed.

date of pick-up : (this is your promise, so u must keep it)
price : (must ask for at least 50% DP, another 50% to be paid later)
Received above items in good condition, (state your waiver here)
Customer must sign.

Well the rest is yours. Please use your imagination. What do you expect if you are a customer? Provide the service you think you need if you are the customer. Good luck to those who want to run a launrdy shop, it is a good business but please start learning repairs of your own machines and be in the shop always to create good rapor with the regular customers.
